Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day
Take a trip to Lake George Village this weekend for the fantastic Sham ‘Rock’ the Block St. Patrick’s Day celebration! The event will feature a parade, activities, games, specials, and more.
During Sham ‘Rock’ the Block in Lake George, Adirondack Winery will host special wine tastings all weekend long. Stop in for weekend upgrades, try your luck at the cork contest, and enjoy their Shamrock Sangria.
Head to Gore Mountain for a unique way to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day this Friday – the Irish Spirit Race! This event will involve participants challenging leprechauns to a race for a chance to win additional raffle entires. There is a $5 fee to compete, and a lift ticket is required.
Make a reservation to Fort William Henry Hotel and Conference Center’s St. Patrick’s Day Dinner for delicious food and drink specials. Some of the menu items will include traditional corned beef and cabbage, Shepherd’s Pie, and Irish Whiskey Cake.

A nationally known bagpiper who was selected as a White House piper for President John F. Kennedy will perform a special concert at Warren Center in Queensbury on Friday.

Did you know this weekend is one of two NYS maple weekends this year? On Saturday and Sunday, many farms throughout the state will open their doors for visitors interested in learning about the maple sugaring process (and enjoy some treats too).

Come by Fort William Henry Museum for a reenactment of Vaudreuil’s Raid on Fort William Henry, which took place in 1757. This reenactment is free to the public, and it will be followed by a dinner and silent auction.
Join First Presbyterian Church in Glens Falls for a concert by the Glens Falls Symphony on Sunday at 4:00pm. The program will feature favorites from the Baroque Era, including Bach’s Orchestral Suite No. 3 and others.
