Fish307.com Will Celebrate Its 25th Anniversary In January 2017

For over 20 years, Fish307.com has grown into a fishing tackle superstore in the Lake George area, offering everything from lines and lures to free advice. Anglers, ice fishermen, and others visit for high quality equipment and a friendly atmosphere. This coming January, the local business will be celebrating its 25th anniversary!

Currently located at the north end of the Lake George Factory Outlets, Fish307.com started out as a small tackle shop in Bolton Landing. Founded by owner Jeff Goldberg on January 22, 1992, Fish307.com was originally named Peace Pipe Bait & Tackle and could be found adjacent to Peace Pipe Cottages.

Due to the shop’s early success, Goldberg expanded its offerings and eventually renamed it Peace Pipe Fishing Outfitters. In 1994, the fishing and tackle shop received a toll free telephone number – 1-800-Fish307 – which would influence the name change later on.

When the internet rose in popularity in 1995, Goldberg decided to expand into the mail order business by launching the Fish307.com website. When Goldberg sold Peace Pipe Cottages in 2002 and opened up a new store near the Lake George Factory Outlets, he changed the name to what many of us know it as – Fish307.com.

Since then, Fish307.com has been recognized as a leading provider of fishing gear and much more in the Lake George area. Goldberg is dedicated to meeting his customers’ needs, and in a Sun Community News article, he said, “I used to tell people if they wanted a truck of stone delivered in Arkansas I’d make it happen.”

In addition to servicing customers in the Lake George area, Goldberg also owns a small shop in Atlantic Beach, Florida called Fish307 Jax.

As Fish307.com reaches its 25-year milestone, the local business plans to continue offering the same great customer service and wide variety of fishing-related products. The store is open 7 days a week, and its hours of operation change seasonally.
