Although fall foliage typically peaks in the Lake George Region around Columbus Day weekend, this year has proven to be different. Leaf peepers rejoice! There’s still time to see the leaves!

According to I Love NY’s New York Fall Foliage Report, Lake George’s trees were near the midpoint of their seasonal change last week, with an estimated 40% color transition having taken place. The Foliage Report is updated each week on Wednesday afternoon, so be sure to check it out for the most updated information.
There are still some fun upcoming events in Lake George to take advantage of when you come to see the leaves! The Adirondack Brewery Oktoberfest and the Free to Breathe 5K Run/Walk are both happening this Saturday, while Fort William Henry will host its Ghost Tours for the next two weekends. Fright Fest will also be taking place at The Great Escape on weekends through November 1.
