About this event
This camp session is appropriate for children entering 3rd grade through 6th grade.
It's time to celebrate the 2024 Summer Olympics! During this summer camp, kids will participate in kid-friendly Olympic events like the lighting of the ceremonial torch, relay races, long jumps, a paper airplane challenge, interpretive dance, and so much more! We'll learn about different countries, watch clips from this year's Olympics in Paris, collect gold medals, and end the week with a closing ceremony.
Camp days are Monday, July 29 - Friday, August 2, from 9am - 3pm each day.
Sample camp schedule:
9-10am: Arrival, snack, and morning activity
10-11am: Olympic event
11am-12pm: Lunch & quiet activity
12-1:45pm: Playtime at SMSA playground & Olympic event
1:45-2:15pm: Artmaking
2:15-2:55pm: Snack & playtime in the museum
3pm: Pickup
Children must bring their own snacks, lunch, and beverages to camp each day.
Pricing:
Museum Members: $210 per child per week
Not-yet-members: $225 per child per week
Camp sessions are limited to 10 children.
