Why Lake George Winter’s Dream Is a Can’t-Miss Attraction
From the annual Lake George Winter Carnival to snow tubing and skiing at local ski areas, there are plenty of reasons to visit the Lake George area during winter. However, this coming winter is going to be an extra special one with the opening of Lake George Winter’s Dream on December 8, 2023.
Lake George Winter’s Dream is a new experience that will draw on the rich emotions, sensations, and magic of the season. Upon entering this evening attraction, you’ll discover a series of multimedia installations where lights, music, sounds, and interactivity come together. Visitors of all ages are encouraged to engage, play, and share moments of joy.
The attraction will be spread out across the Fort William Henry Historical Fortress’s outdoor courtyard and all four bastions, and you can expect to spend approximately 40 to 60 minutes exploring, taking photos and videos, and creating new memories with family and friends.
From December 8, 2023 – March 31, 2024, Lake George Winter’s Dream will be open every day except Tuesday (Special Open Days are: December 26 and December 31, 2023. Winter’s Dream will be closed on December 25, 2023, January 1, 2024, and January 2, 2024).

Make Plans for Winter Realms Too
Lake George Winter’s Dream isn’t the only exciting attraction coming to Lake George this winter. The artists behind the famous Ice Castles will be opening Winter Realms at the Festival Commons next door to Fort William Henry.
Winter Realms is a new attraction that will enchant visitors with outdoor ice skating, dazzling lights, larger-than-life motifs, a sculpture park, igloos, Santa’s Village, a Polar Ice Bar, and more. It’s expected to open on November 24, 2023, to coincide with Lake George’s Lite Up the Village holiday kickoff celebration. Tickets for Winter Realms are available at winterrealms.com.
