On Thursday, July 20, the Warren County Tourism and Hospitality Community will gather to honor the exceptional contributions of local individuals in the field of hospitality. The annual Heroes of Hospitality event, hosted by the Fort William Henry Hotel in Lake George, promises an evening of recognition, celebration, and fundraising for the SUNY Adirondack Scholarship Fund. This event serves as a testament to the dedication and hard work of these remarkable individuals who have greatly enhanced the tourism and hospitality sector in the Warren County-Lake George region.
Meet This Year’s Heroes
This year’s Heroes of Hospitality honorees include Bob Blais, Bill Dow, Frank Dittrich, Helene Horn, Jeff Killeen, and Jim Kneeshaw. Through their unwavering commitment and tireless efforts, these individuals have significantly contributed to the betterment of the region for both residents and visitors alike.

In a recent press release, Sam Luciano, President of the Fort William Henry Corp., said, “We are proud to host this event for the second year, this time in our new venue, The Carriage House.” The Carriage House is the ideal venue for this celebration, with its spacious indoor setting and gorgeous views of the lake that will be perfect for the end of night fireworks.
The Heroes of Hospitality event not only recognizes the achievements of these extraordinary individuals, but it also serves as a fundraiser for the SUNY Adirondack Scholarship Fund. A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will be dedicated to supporting a Warren County resident enrolled in the Hospitality Management Program at SUNY Adirondack. This program equips students with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in various areas of the industry, including event planning, hotel resort management, marketing, and culinary arts.
