Between the start of the Winter Carnival and the continuation of the ice bars it’s going to be quite a winter weekend in Lake George! Just make sure to dress appropriately for the low temperatures predicted, and double check with event organizers as activities may be altered to accommodate the weather.
Welcome Winter Carnival
February 4 & 5
The Winter Carnival starts this weekend in Lake George and continues every weekend throughout the month. For this weekend only, the 27-foot Oscar Mayer Wienermobile will be on hand! There are other new activities and old favorites like the keg toss, so check out the full schedule.
Come out for a blessing and speech by local dignitaries to kick off the Winter Carnival festivities.
The outhouse races are one of the top draws of the Winter Carnival! Do not miss out on teams competing with self-built outhouses in Lake George Battlefield Park.
Bringing the little ones to the Winter Carnival? Duck into the Caldwell-Lake George Library to get warm and enjoy a storytime.
The fireworks go off over Lake George at 7pm, every Saturday this month.
Ice, Ice Ice Bars
February 3 – 4
Ice Castles doesn’t open until Monday, but their ice bar and mystic lightwalk (typically only available to Ice Castles ticket holders) is open to the public this weekend.
February 3 – 5
The Lagoon’s ice bar will be up every weekend this month, so come out to enjoy! There’s a warming tent and a firepit.
More Snow-tastic Fun
Stick around after the carnival and fireworks on Saturday to get in on a live music fundraiser for the Lake George Arts Project at the Lake George Beach Club. It’s just a $5 cover charge to enjoy Skeeter Creek!
