Business News Around the Lake With the Boathouse, a Bookstore & More
The Boathouse B&B is Now Boathouse Waterfront Lodging
Announced in a recently distributed press release, the Boathouse Bed & Breakfast is discontinuing their breakfast service and will be known as Boathouse Waterfront Lodging going forward. Owners Joe and Patti Silipigno have been running the business for 22 years and “are not getting any younger;” something had to give, and it was breakfast.
But fear not, because guests can still enjoy the stunning house and property with gorgeous rooms and a grand porch that hangs directly over the lake. Guests are welcome to pick up breakfast at a nearby eatery and bring it back to enjoy with views of the lake.
Joe and Patti will still be on site, ready to enjoy some coffee and conversation with guests, and more than happy to suggest nearby activities and places to check out during their visit.
Cramer’s Point Motel & Cottages is Under New Ownership
Todd Drake, who purchased and then renovated the Adirondack Diamond Point Lodge last year, recently acquired Cramer’s Point Motel & Cottages. Drake purchased the property for $1.275 million from Francis and Marion Sause, who owned Cramer’s Point for nearly three decades. Drake also owns Empire Real Estate Management and CornerStone Building Corp, both in Watervliet.
Cramer’s Point is just about a mile away from Adirondack Diamond Point Lodge and consists of one seven-bedroom home, ten seasonal cottages, eight motel rooms, and two suites.
The Book Cabin Reopens This Saturday
Speaking of Cramer’s Point, the charming bookstore located across the street on Lake Shore Drive reopens this Saturday for the season. The Book Cabin will be open Saturdays, 10am to 5pm, and Sundays, 10am to 4pm.
In addition to a great selection of new releases, children’s books, games, and toys, they have plentiful outdoor seating where you can rest and relax with your new book before you leave.
