The Chapman Museum is raffling off a 75-minute Tiki Boat tour for up to 12 people, a basket full of wine, and other spectacular items at their Wine & Chocolate Tasting happening tomorrow, November 19.

Get Those Thanksgiving Orders In!
Thanksgiving is November 25, which is one week from today! Many restaurants have announced specials for dine-in, takeout, and just desserts, but reservations or orders must be made ahead of time.
Fort William Henry is offering a takeout Thanksgiving dinner, as detailed in the graphic to the left, with pre-orders required by November 23 at 12pm.

News to Know: A Ski Center to Reopen, A Kids Winter Photo Challenge & More
Frozen Photography Challenge for Kids From Warren County 4-H
Warren County 4-H’s Frozen Photography Challenge started on November 15 and runs through January 15. The challenge is open to any youth (not just 4-H members) between the ages of 5 and 19. Those interested can submit a frozen-themed photo (ice, snow, trees, etc.) that has been taken between the dates of the challenge.

Historic Warrensburg Ski Center to Reopen This Winter
The Hickory Ski Center in Warrensburg, which dates back to 1946, is reopening this winter; technically, the ski center partially reopened last year, but otherwise has been closed since 2015. John Braidwood, Vice President of the Hickory Legacy Foundation, told Foothills Business Daily that the mountain will be open as soon as there’s snow.
Lake George Village Opts Out of Cannabis Sales
Although you can still consume cannabis wherever smoking is allowed in the Village, you won’t be able to purchase it anytime soon. A unanimous vote on Monday by the Lake George Village Board resulted in an opt out of cannabis sales, ahead of the state deadline of December 31. Lake George Village Mayor Robert Blais told News 10 ABC that everyone at the meeting spoke out against the inclusion of cannabis sales.
Registration Has Begun for 2022 Field of Flags at FWH
Fort William Henry held their annual Veterans Day Ceremony on November 11, complete with speakers and the firing of a three-volley musket salute. The Field of Flags, which spans the FWH western lawn each year, now has about 8,000 flags, each of which represents a veteran or active military member.
Registration has begun for the 2022 Field of Flags. Anyone who wishes to add a service member’s name to the field can call 518.964.6647 for more info, or visit the museum in person, open on Saturdays through December (excepting Christmas Day) and Thursday through Sunday starting January 6.
