Six Flags recently announced a new guest reservation system for all of their parks, which includes Great Escape & Hurricane Harbor.
This summer all Six Flags locations will operate via a guest reservation system in order to manage daily attendance levels and avoid overcrowding.
“The health and safety of our guests and team members is always our highest priority and in the current environment, we certainly want to take extra precautions to create a safe experience for everyone,” Mike Spanos, Six Flags President and CEO, said in a statement. “We are excited about reopening our parks and getting back to the business of fun; however, we want to do so in the safest possible manner.”
Anyone with a single-day ticket, group ticket, Membership, or Season Pass, will be required to make a reservation online ahead of time. The process is estimated to take five to seven minutes. If all reservations are taken for a particular day, you have the option to be put on a wait list to be contacted in the event of a cancellation.
The reservation system is not up and running yet, nor is Great Escape open yet, as theme parks fall under Phase 4 of New York State’s reopening plan. The system will be activated to accept reservations when reopening dates are confirmed. However, Six Flags does have extensive information on what to expect and frequently asked questions on their website at the link below.
