If you’re looking for something new to do in Lake George this weekend — and want to indulge your sweet tooth — check out the Sweet Bee’s Honey Festival & Artisan Market on Sunday, July 21st from 10am to 6pm. Located at the Fort William Henry Hotel at the south end of the lake, the festival will feature honey products of every kind and will go on rain or shine.
Taste test honey from local farms and from around the world, sample honey-themed food and beverages, and purchase honey-based products for your home. Guests can participate in a variety of activities for all ages, such as crafts and face painting. Take a tour of Fort William Henry (included in admission price), view working hives, and experience live music and dancing.
The event will be held on the Fort William Henry Hotel’s sprawling front lawn, with a rain/heat wave location in their Carriage House.
Tickets cost $15 for adults and $10 for kids if purchased ahead of time, and $20 for adults and $15 for children upon arrival. The festival is also offering special passes, which include merchandise and VIP admission, that must be purchased online.
Spend a few hours sampling good food, taking part in fun activities, and exploring the historic fort, then head out into the village to explore its shops or go down to the beach for some sun and waves.
