Summer is a fantastic season for a wide range of activities in the Lake George Region, from boating to fishing, swimming, and more. But that’s not all! Each weekend is jam packed with festive events and things to do. Here are some of the highlights for this coming weekend.
Find Live Music & Concerts
This year, the Lake George Steamboat Company is introducing an all new cruise known as Minne the Dock! On Saturday night, the Minne Ha Ha will set sail at 9:00pm, and passengers will get to enjoy live music for 1.5 hours. When the steamboat returns to the pier, it will become a floating music hall/bar for the final 1.5 hours! This Saturday’s cruise will feature music by the Crash Test Silverados with Jordan Stoner.
Are you ready for another edition of Fridays at the Lake? Head to the Shepard Park Amphitheater in Lake George for live music with the Zucchini Brothers and the New York Players.
Visit the Luzerne Music Center on Sunday at 1:30pm for a concert by the Luzerne Symphony and Ensembles! The performance will be free and family-friendly.
Attend Amazing Festivals & Fairs
Get ready for a rockin’ celebration at the Warrensburg Recreation Field this weekend! The 56th Annual Smoke Eaters Jamboree in Warrensburg will feature live country music by Skeeter Creek, a chicken BBQ, carnival rides, entertainment, and fireworks.
Head to the Warrensburg Riverfront Farmers’ Market on Friday and check out an amazing selection of artworks by local and regional artists. As usual, there will also be plenty of produce to buy at the market from 3:00pm-6:00pm.
Take a trip to the northern end of Lake George on Saturday for the 2018 StreetFest in downtown Ticonderoga! This day-long festival will include street vendors, an array of food options, arts and crafts, live music, activities, and more.
A Country Fair and Antiques Auction will be held at the Old Fort House Museum in Fort Edward on Saturday from 9:00am-3:00pm. Stop by and browse arts and crafts, antiques and collectibles, books, plants, and other items. The auction will kick off at 10:00am.
Looking for an exciting, multi-venue festival like no other? Don’t miss GEM Fest in Glens Falls! There will be vendors, activities, live art presentations, and more in Glens Falls City Park, as well as live music all around downtown.

Lake Theatre Productions, Inc.’s 2018 summer season is underway at the Holiday Inn Resort in Lake George. Join them this week for a delicious dinner and performance of the hilarious play Jerry Finnegan’s Sister.
The Jedi Handbook is a coming of age story about a boy who survives growing older with the help of The Force. Adirondack Theatre Festival’s presentation of this play will run through this Friday at the Charles R. Wood Theater in Glens Falls.
Enjoy a live performance of Shakespeare’s play Othello at Shepard Park in Lake George. The play will be presented by Will Kempe’s Players, a local Capital Region theater company. The event is free to attend with a recommended donation of $20.
