The largest community concert band festival in the Northeast will be held at Lake George’s Shepard Park this Friday and Saturday! Stop by for free live music featuring a wide range of concert bands performing jazz, motion picture themes, Broadway show tunes, and much more.
The Lake Theatre at the Holiday Inn Resort in Lake George will kick off their 2018 season with Jerry Finnegan’s Sister by Jack Neary. Enjoy a delicious dinner and watch this hilarious production about Brian Dowd and his colossal crush on Beth Finnegan.
Looking for some family-friendly entertainment on Sunday evening? Take a seat at Shepard Park in Lake George for performances by Cowboy Ernie Sites, Mr. Twisty, and Roadhouse. Admission is free.

Angels at Lakeshore Gallery in Bolton Landing will host a fun and transformative Chakra Painting Event from 7:00pm-9:00pm on Saturday. Light refreshments will be served, and you can BYOB.
Step inside the Shirt Factory Gallery in Glens Falls on Saturday for the opening reception of the 4th Annual National Pastel Exhibition from 5:00pm-8:00pm. The exhibition will be displayed through August 11.
Take a self-guided tour of local artist studios in Cambridge as part of the two-day Cambridge Valley Fine Art Tour. Visitors will get to see different styles of art and painting, from traditional to plein air to watercolor and more. Studios will be open from 10:00am-5:00pm daily.

Plan a trip to the Ticonderoga Farmers’ Market for their Country Florist Day this Saturday! In addition to a wide range of fruits, veggies, and products for sale, the market will feature a hands-on flower activity for kids. A master gardener will also be on site.
At A Taste of Diamond Point, attendees will be able to sample culinary delights from some of the area’s best restaurants and delicatessens. The food tasting event will take place at the Diamond Point Community Church on Saturday from 12:00pm-2:00pm. Each tasting will cost $1.
Witness Outstanding Sports & Competitions
Whether you’re a skateboarder or enjoy watching all the tricks, be sure to check out the Lake George Skate Plaza Competition at Charles R. Wood Park. The event will start at 11:00am and run until 6:00pm. There will be vendors on-site throughout the day.
Bring the kids to East Field in Glens Falls on Sunday and watch as the hometown Glens Falls Dragons take on the Amsterdam Mohawks in a baseball game.
