Editor’s Note May 12, 2023: Tiki Tours is now the Original Tiki Tours.
Did you try the Tiki Tours – a floating boat you drink on – this year? The owner is proposing a whole new and different way to bar hop through the village of Lake George.

Tiki Tours owner Greg Teresi and business partner Anthony Ali are looking to bring a 16-passenger pedal vehicle to Lake George. These vehicles are also known as a “party bikes” or “bicycle trucks.” This would be a fun mode of transportation for a group who wants to spend a couple hours visiting three or four different bars or restaurants.
That’s right – passengers actually pedal to help propel the vehicle, although an employee would be steering. This could be a great way to get a little exercise in between enjoying drinks and food at various bars and restaurants.
Teresi currently operates other pedal-powered vehicles in Schenectady, Troy, and Hudson. He plans on charging a bit more for the Lake George bar – $35 per seat during the week and $40 on the weekend, compared to $25 per seat in the Schenectady and Troy locations.

If you are familiar with these bikes, guests are often able to enjoy an alcoholic beverage while they are pedaling, but in Lake George Village, there is an open container ban.
“The bike businesses we run out of Troy and Schenectady do not allow alcohol and our customers seem to love it,” Teresi told us. Therefore, he said, the ability for riders to drink alcohol on the bikes is “not a deal breaker for us.”
Additionally, The Post Star reported the tentative plan would be to avoid the main thoroughfare of Canada Street as much as possible, utilizing primarily Dieskau Street instead.
What do you think – would you pay for this unique transportation to bar hop around Lake George?
