Though it may still be a little chilly for in-water activities, this is one of the best times to fish on Lake George and there are plenty of great hiking and biking trails in the area. Of course, you can never go wrong with patio dining to enjoy a little late spring/early summer sun!

Lake George Community Garden Club 2017 Perennial Plant Sale

The sun is out and the weather is (finally!) warming up. It’s time to think about getting your garden in shape! Join the Lake George Community Garden Club for their annual Perennial Plant Sale and choose from a huge number and variety of high-quality perennial plants carefully cultivated from the members’ own zone 4 and 5 gardens. Members will be on hand with planting instructions and important gardening tips to get your landscape in tip-top shape for summer.
Thurman Townwide Sale

All over Thurman this weekend you will find deals on everything from garden plants to furniture, to tools! These old fashioned garage sales are sure to contain a few hidden gems. Maps will be available at sales along the edge of town, and you should be sure to gas up before you go since there are no pumps in town.
Law Enforcement Officer’s Weekend
Friday, May 19 – Sunday, May 21
The inaugural Law Enforcement Officer’s Weekend in Lake George will take place this Friday-Saturday in Charles R. Wood Park. There will be seminars, competitions, social hours, vendors, and plenty of fun activities for law enforcement officers and their families. There will also be a memorial service to remember those who lost their lives in the line of duty.
16th Annual Randy’s Run & Murphy’s Mile
Saturday, May 20
This annual race benefits Lake George Charities and are in honor of former Lake George Teachers Randall Madison & Ed Murphy. The 5K is a fairly challenging course, starting and ending at Lake George Elementary school, but the 1 mile fun run/walk is very accessible. Registration is $15 for the fun run and $20 in advance or $25 day-of for the 5K.
Hike for Hope: Cody’s Climb
Sunday, May 21
This hike up Prospect Mountain raises money and and awareness to fight against suicide and stigmas surrounding depression and mental illness. At the summit, participants will be rewarded for their long, uphill climb with food, raffle drawings, and prizes.
Lake George Bar Crawl

Looking for a fast-paced, fun-filled night? Try an organized bar crawl in Lake George! These bar crawls will be happening every weekend this summer and always start at the Centennial Fountain in Shepard Park. The cost is $15 and includes drink discounts, live music, and dancing all night.
