This area is a hotbed of history; Upstate New York can rival anywhere in historical significance. For instance, Rogers Island is one of the area’s historical hidden gems, and this fall, the Rogers Island Visitor’s Center is hosting the perfect event for history buffs that we want to send you to for free!
Yes! We’re giving away a four-pack of tickets to the Robert Rogers Day Fundraiser, so that you can brush up on your history of Fort Edward entirely on us! You can learn all about how Fort Edward was once the third largest city in North America, and how the US Special Forces consider Fort Edward their birthplace.
You’ll learn all that and more from celebrated local historians, but re-discovering history isn’t the only thing planned for the event. The fundraiser will be held at the Idle Hour Club located in Fort Edward, and there will be old-fashioned wagon rides from the Rogers Island Visitor’s Center.
There will be live music, a BBQ, along with a silent auction and raffles and giveaways, all in the name of promoting and educating people about Rogers Island.
So what do you say? You have nothing to lose, but tons to win when you enter this giveaway today! We’re choosing five winners, so your chances of being the lucky winner are better than ever.
Are you crossing your fingers and entering? Which piece of area history is your favorite?
