Chocloate Moose Campground: “Saying good bye to our dream”
Thousands waited in anticipation for a new area campground to open: Chocolate Moose Campground in Fort Ann. The Pagliaro Family poured their heart and soul (and finances) into the project, but they have reached their limit.
With heavy hearts, the Pagliaros now must walk away from the project and are putting everything up for sale.
A letter from the Pagliaro Family reads:
Dear Campers,
This is a letter we hoped we would never have to send you. Our family has exhausted all of our resources and efforts in making the Chocolate Moose Campground a reality. We have overcome all of our roadblocks with permits which was a time consuming and costly task. After acquiring all of the necessary permits we were so excited that we started construction with our own money until major financing was approved.
Our family has been actively perusing this dream for almost four years now. We have spent countless hours working on this project. Chasing our dream has taken its toll on everyone involved, so we have come to the conclusion that we must move on with our lives.
At this point in time we wanted all of you to know that we have no other choice but to put everything up for sale. This was a very tough and emotional decision that our family has made. The hardest part is saying good bye to our dream and to the 7000 members on the Chocolate Moose Mailing List who believe in this as much as we did.
Once again we would like to thank each and every one of you for your continued support over the years. We are truly sorry that we were unable to make this dream a reality. Thank you for all of you kind words and prayers over the past four years.
God bless you all and thank you for believing in us.
Sincerely,
The Pagliaro Family
