Wow, we broke a temperature record from 1972! Here’s what the Post Star reported today –
Yes, that was record-breaking cold you felt Tuesday morning.
The
morning low of 18 degrees below zero recorded by the National Weather
Service at Warren County Airport in Queensbury easily surpassed the
record for the date of 12 below. That record had stood since 1972.
While
it was dangerously cold in the Glens Falls region, it was even colder
to the north. Saranac Lake hit 28 below and Indian Lake 21 below,
according to the weather service.
Others of note included 17 below in North Creek and Whitehall, Lake Luzerne and Argyle all tumbling to 14 below.
