What a long and icy winter. The Highliner is ready to hit the waters of Lake George the minute “ice out” is official. We’ll keep you posted on ice-out timeline, but given the ice out here now, it’s looking like Mid-April at the earliest. With the cold and snow, it’s hard to imagine that in a few short months, sunshine will rule and we’ll be shifting the fishing season on Lake George into high gear. Now is the time to book your charters, order your motel or hotel rooms or cabins and make a plan. The lake trout fishing season starts before you know it. The LakeGeorge.com website is collecting signs of spring. I don’t know about you, but for this charter fishing captain, a photo of “ice-out” is the best looking picture we can think of.
