The Highliner hit the water this week and the trout fishing has been consistent along with a few salmon. Keep in mind that Lake George lake trout need to be 23 inches in length to keep. That would make this fish 5-7 years old with a life expectancy of 20 years. It is not unheard of to catch one in excess of 20 pounds. So keep in mind, if you’d like to catch one of the 20 plus pounders, it’s a good idea to keep one or two for the table, and release the rest.
Check out the photos…we boated 7 fish in 3 hours on the Highliner on April 16, 2013! See you on the water. Stay tuned for the latest on the smelt run.
