Women's Religious History

Poster for SUNY Adirondack
When: Wednesday, Mar 20, 2019 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Cost: $25

This course will explore women’s religious history and the personal issues that arise in women. Women struggle with issues of body image, mother-daughter relationships, sexual freedom and access to power. But there was a time when the female body was sacred; there once was a long-lasting religion in which the chief divine actors were women. You will learn about ancient goddesses and their stories from around the world, as well as real women in ancient Sumer, Greece, Judaism, Christianity and other religious traditions.
