Weekends in February Are Winter Carnival Time!

Lake George Village offers a month long celebration of winter at this annual family-friendly event!

Take the Polar Plunge into the chilly waters of Lake George - or just watch on the sidelines! Relish the warmth of tasty samples during the chowder, chili, BBQ and chicken wing cook-offs. Enjoy the always fun and always hilarious outhouce races - a crowd pleasing favorite!

Kids can play on the giant ice slide, participate in children's activities, enjoy a tethered hot air balloon ride or snowmobile sleigh ride and visit a historical renactors' encampment of the 1700s.

Watch a variety of ATV, motorcycle, snowmobile and 4 x 4 races as well as dogsled pulls. Dance to the blues and participate in a silent auction.Watch the Mardi Gras Parade and enjoy the fireworks display.

Please note:

  • Out of state ATV riders must purchase a TrailPass to ride in New York State. NYS is reciprocal with out of state ATV registrations, so you can ride here if your off-road vehicle is registered elsewhere.
  • Out of state Snowmobilers do not need a NY TrailPass. However, the snowmobile must be registered in New York State, and the rider must carry insurance.
