Can you believe the 35th Americade is coming up this June? Lake George Village is already gearing up for the world’s largest multi-brand motorcycle touring rally, and one of the highlights this year will be a performance by legendary Southern Rock band Molly Hatchet!
Since 1983, an average of 50,000 riders and passengers have visited the Lake George Region each year during Americade. This motorcycle rally continuously features a wide variety of entertainment all week long, including vendors, exhibits, parades, live music, and so much more.
For many, one of the best parts of the entire event is the Americade Concert Series, which typically features an exciting music lineup and powerhouse performances. Based on this year’s lineup announcement, the 2017 Americade Concert Series will not disappoint.
The Concert Series will kick off on Friday, June 9th with a spectacular performance by The Grift. The band plays everything from rock and roll to bluegrass and country.
Then, on Saturday, June 10th, the Concert Series will feature three more performances. The lineup includes The Commander Cody Band, The Mallett Brothers Band, and the headliner Molly Hatchet.
Molly Hatchet is considered one of the most famous southern rock groups with a style similar to The Allman Brothers Band and Lynyrd Skynyrd. You’ve probably heard their hit song “Flirtin’ with Disaster” from 1979.
The theme of the Concert Series this year will be Bikes, Beer & BBQ. All of the performances will take place at the Charles R. Wood Park Festival Commons where there will be beer and food vendors on-site.
The 2017 Americade is scheduled for June 6th-10th, and the Concert Series will run throughout the last two days. Since this is such a popular event in Lake George Village, now is the time to start planning your Americade trip to the region.
