A really cool event to check out this weekend happens this Saturday, June 2nd - the Lake Friendly Living Open House. The Lake George Association (LGA) is hosting this event where you can browse and learn about all kinds of sustainable products and services being offered right in your own backyard. If you care about keeping Lake George beautiful, then the Lake Friendly Living Open House & Native Plant Sale is a sure bet for this weekend.

But the sustainability doesn't stop there!

On the LGA's Lake Friendly Living Blog, housed right here on LG.com, the LGA will be producing a new video series called Sustainable Sundays.

One of the most touted phrases I hear when people are promoting Lake George is "pristine waters." Did you know that there is a whole community effort from people who work diligently to keep it that way?

The Lake George Association, or LGA is a group of citizens and activists dedicated to keeping Lake George as clean as possible and free from contaminants -- foreign or domestic!

Memorial Day Weekend is the unofficial start to summer. Parades, picnics, or parties, there are so many fun ways to celebrate. This year, why not head over to Million Dollar Beach to kick start your summer?

The Big Apple Circus is going to be coming to the former Gaslight Village Amusement Park in Lake George. This family attraction will be the first major event to be at the former Gaslight Village. 

I have been to a few charity golf tournaments in my life but the Double-H Ranch Charity Golf Classic, that took place on May 12 was easily the best tournament I have ever played in. From the second I arrived at the Sagamore Golf Club until I left the Conference Center at the Sagamore Resort I was treated with the best service I could ask for. It was a great time for a great cause with great summer-time weather.

The Double H Ranch will be holding an Amateur Southwest Culinary Competition at this year's event - the Chuckwagon Challenge! Five finalists will be chosen to serve their dish to guests at the Ranch's Annual Gala on June 29.

The Owners of the Sagamore Resort, located in Bolton Landing on the shores of beautiful Lake George, have spent tens of thousands in renovations and upgrades recently, and there is still more in store. The Sagamore has long been a renowned Adirondack resort, and the recent improvements and additions are sure to make it an even more distinguished destination for travelers.

The countdown to the unofficial start of summer in Lake George has begun. I'm talking about the date Six Flags Great Escape and Splashwater Kingdom opens!

This year, the park opens on May 19, 2012 for weekends and select weekdays. The park opens daily on June 13th.

The following photo was taken of the Highliner Charter fishing boat last Saturday docked on Lake George at sun-up. Isn't it just breathtaking? Warm. Serene. Majestic. Glorious. Blissful. I could honestly think of at least 1,000 words to describe its beauty. I love it!
