The unofficial kick-off to summer is here - It's Time to Visit Lake George!!!

The weather forecast is a good one - bring your sun screen!!! The weekend will be sunny and warm - there may be a shower on Saturday, but it's only a possibility of a shower.

Come for the weekend or the day - enjoy one of the many parades to honor our fallen heroes, take a ride on or a dip in the lake, visit The Great Escape, attend the Bolton Landing Arts & Crafts Festival May 28-30, visit The Glenwood Manor Antique Show May 28th and 29th - so many things to do - we can't wait to see you!

There is so much going on this weekend! Queen's Great Boating and Custom Car Weekend, the North Country Bed & Breakfast Tour, Armed Forces Day Concert at the Wood Theater in Glens Falls (lakegeorgecommunityband.com), the opening of Great Escape Theme Park, and the opening of Lumberjack Pass Miniature Golf! Come have fun in the Lake George Region!

Golden Goal Tournament Park will be hosting the AC Milan Cup May 27th through the 30th. The Olympic Style opening ceremony is at 7pm on Friday with fireworks following the ceremony. Elvis is almost here - Get all the details you need to plan your Elvis experience at lakegeorgeelvisfest.com. The Elvis festivities will be held June 2nd through the 5th. Make room for the tow trucks! ESTRA Tow Truck Convention is at the Fort William Henry June 3rd through the 5th!

And here comes Americade!!! Americade is the world's largest multi-brand motorcycle touring rally. This event attracts over 50,000 people annually. Get all the details, how to sign up, the schedule, off bike events and more at americade.com. This year's rally will be held June 6th through the 11th.

Lumberjack Pass Mini Golf got great news last week - entertainmentdesigner.com, an unbiased online magazine, ranked us # 5 among the top ten craziest miniature golf courses on earth!  We can't wait to see our old friends and to make new friends.  Lumberjack Mini Golf opens for the season on May 20th - stop by, we'd love to see you!

 

Mother's Day weekend wasn't as warm as we wanted it to be, but, it didn't rain as it usually does!  We're gearing up for Memorial Day weekend - there's still availability for the weekend, so come on up or down and enjoy the summer kickoff!  Some of the many places to stay are Prospect-Aire Motel in Lake George Village, Diamond Cove Cottages in Diamond Point, and Sleep Inn in Queensbury, near the Great Escape. 

June is a very busy month in the Lake George Region.  The LakeGeorge.com Elvis Festival takes place this year June 2nd through June 5th - anyone planning on getting married?  Renewing vows?  Elvis can do it on June 5th!  Details at lakegeorgeelvisfest.com/  For the railroad enthusiasts, the Upper Hudson River Railroad will be hosting local and historic platform talks at the Depot Museum on Thursdays in June - northcreekdepotmuseum.com.  The tow trucks will be here June 3rd throught June 5th - the ESTRA Tow Truck Convention will be held at the Fort William Henry - estranys.com.

With spring comes the opening of many warm weather activities!  The Lake George Steamboat Company is open and cruising and the Shoreline Cruises opens this Saturday!  And, although it usually rains on Mother's Day in Lake George, this year we're keeping our fingers crossed.  The weather forecast is partly sunny and 63 with a slight chance of rain.  Courtney, let's hope they are right!  The Great Escape opens on May 21st - season's passes are still available!  The water park opens on May 28th.  Kathryn is looking forward to a great ladies' weekend - have a blast!  And for Patricia, the Sagamore is offering a Mom's Month package through May 31 and a Memorial Day package May 26th through the 30th.  There's lots coming up in the Lake George area.  Lake George Village's Memorial Day parade will kick off at 11am on May 28th at 11:00am and the Hague parade kicks off at Town Park at 2pm.  Parades taking place on May 30th - Glens Falls parade will begin at the Civil War Monument at 10am, Bolton Landing at Rogers' Park at 10am, Lake Luzerne at Four Corners at 5pm, North Creek from Main Street at 10am, and Warrensburg at Elm Street at 9am - come join us and celebrate all of our heroes.  We'll see you soon!

Mary Giella designed, owns and operates Lumberjack Pass Miniature Golf and Fore! Ice Cream, Burgers and More in Lake George. Mary was first introduced to Lake George in 1977 while on her honeymoon. It was her goal to one day be a full time resident of this beautiful Lake George region and, in 2001, she realized her dream with the opening of Lumberjack Pass Mini Golf.
