How was the HVVFA's dress parade?  Please send me pictures to post - I was at Lumberjack and I missed it.  Tomorrow is the first day of Lake George Restaurant week - 3 course meals at participating restaurants for $20.11 from the 20th to the 24th.

The weather forecast for this week is a good one for boating, swimming, and para-sailing with temps in the low to mid 80's - It's Time to Visit Lake George!

 

Fireworks in the Lake George Region! - Be there for the awesome shows!

Great Escape will have fireworks on July 1 - the park is open from 10am - 10pm.  Hauge will have fireworks at dusk on July 3rd.  Summer Jam and fireworks at East Field in Glens Falls on July 3rd at 8:00pm.  North Creek at Ski Bowl Park on July 3rd.  The Lake George fireworks display will be at 9:30 on July 4th at Shepard Park.  Bolton will have fireworks at dusk at Roger's Memorial Park at dusk and Ticonderoga will have a fireworks display at 9:45pm on the 4th.

The Hudson Valley Volunteer Firemen's Convention, hvvfaconvention.org will start rolling into Lake George on Wednesday.  Come out and thank our volunteer firefighters - don't forget the dress parade on Saturday!

The temperatures have cooled down for the weekend - we'll see the 70's.  Looks like we may have some thunderstorms around, but not total rainouts.

Americade is in it's 4th day and we hope everyone is enjoying the the rally!  For more information, check out their website - americade.com .  This weekend is the 40th Annual Art Festival weekend in City Park in Glens Falls. It is free and will be open from 10am - 5pm on June 11 and 12. For more info visit larac.org.  The Hudson Valley Volunteer Firemen's Convention will be held from June 15 through June 19. Everyone had a great time at the Elvis Festival.  A young couple from Albany were going to head to Vegas to be married but Vegas came to them!  Congratulations to Alex and Karen Karasz!  They were joined by 8 couples that renewed their vows at the Lake George Forum on Sunday.  About 300 people were on hand to congratulate the newlyweds and those couples renewing their vows.  Make your plans for next year!  Visit lakegeorgeelvisfest.com soon for next year's event schedule.

What a beautiful weekend for Elvis fans and Americaders! The lakegeorge.com Elvis Festival will entertain you through Sunday. As the Elvis fans lare leaving the building, the motorcycles will be riding in to enjoy the Motorcycle Touring Rally. For those of you looking for a new Harley or Honda Goldwing, stop by the Holiday Inn or the Lake George Forum to purchase a raffle ticket. Tickets are being sold by Lake George Rotary and proceeds will be donated to local charities - you could win a new bike for $10.00!!!!

Mary Giella designed, owns and operates Lumberjack Pass Miniature Golf and Fore! Ice Cream, Burgers and More in Lake George. Mary was first introduced to Lake George in 1977 while on her honeymoon. It was her goal to one day be a full time resident of this beautiful Lake George region and, in 2001, she realized her dream with the opening of Lumberjack Pass Mini Golf.
