I recently visited Lake George durring the off-season and on a tuesday night not much was opened. We found a place on line and saw that Montcalm was opened so we took a chance. Glad we did! At first glance from the outside I thought this would be just average, I was plesasently mistaken. The inside of the restaurant outshines the exterior with ambiance. The foor was great and the service was professional and very polite. We were the last table seated and there was only one other table of guests there. I was concerned from experiences in other restaurants that we would be rushed and the staff would be closing around us trying to go home. This was not the case. The staff was professional, courtious and gratious. The food was well prepared, good quality and had great persentation. I thought it was a bit pricey when I was looking at the menu, but by the time the bill came the tab was worth every penny. My company had the twin Lobster tails and I had the Shrimp linguini clasic. Escargot for an appitizer. Highly recommend Montcalm.
