Lake George Fishing Guide by Justin Mahoney

Fishing Report: October 2010 Archives

I'll be heading to Florida for some fishing the first part of November. I'll let you know how I'm doing and will post photos as well. I'll also be keeping you up to date on Lake George fishing news throughout the winter, with info on local Lake George and Adirondack fishing  events like fishing derbies, outdoor shows and so on. So make sure to keep checking in and have a great winter season.

Tight Lines,

Captain Justin, Highliner Charter Fishing

THe Higliner is getting ready to finish up the season on Lake George- we'll be pulling out the Highliner after October 24th, but there's still time to get in some great fishing and take in the spectacular fall foliage.  People are asking me if we're still catching Lake Trout and Salmon and the answer is a great big Yes!

This past Columbus Day weekend produced over 50 trout and 4 salmon in just three 4-hour trips. Glenn Wood and family landed 13 of those fish while longtime friends and regulars Bob Connolly and Greg Byrd caught 20 lakers and half a dozen small mouth bass. Bob and Jean LaRue landed another 19 fish on their trip as well. So, the fishing's not over by a long shot. As a matter of fact, fishing should only get better as we head toward November so don't hang up those rods just yet.

Tight Lines,
