Plans are in the works to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the founding of the town of Queensbury next year. Town Historian Marilyn VanDyke outlined a tentative series of events that would include an observance at the old Quaker burial ground on May 20, followed by a larger "main event" later in the year at Queensbury Town Hall.
