One Basket, Two Different Handles. The inspiration for this basket was an antique advertising handle Beverly found in a Schoharie shop. These handles were used to make carrying brown paper and string wrapped packages (an early form of packaging of store purchases) easier to carry home and advertising for the store. Students will be able to add their own decoration to this handle as well.Students should have enough time in this one day class to make a second basket with a different handle.The finished size of this basket is approximately 13" x 6" x 4" and is woven using reed. Basic basket weaving skills helpful. Please bring; an old bath towel, bucket or dish basin, clip clothes pins, scissors, ruler, pencil, knife for whittling, apron, old wash cloth or spray bottle and a good sense of humor.
