We have been using Riverview Campground for quite some time now and are looking forward to the 2012 season as seasonal campers. Our experience has been wonderful and we consider Joe and Tina to be part of our family. They have always been gracious in their dealings with us and we love the location and the convenience of being able to walk and get anything we need close by. We also like the fact that everything the area has to offer is just a short drive. We consider River view to be our summer home and plan to avail ourselves of their hospitality as long as they will have us! Thanks to them and their family for all they have done for us!

With the 2012 Camping Season soon approaching, I would like to take this opportunity to let everyone know what a great experience camping at Riverview Campground has been. My husband and I have been camping here for quite a few years and are just as happy now, maybe even happier, than when we first arrived. We have a 34 foot travel trailer with 2 large slides and have a beautiful "river site" with an awesome view of the Schroon River. We also have awesome neighbors as well. We have also made many new friends. The campground is clean and has something for everyone: sand beach for great access for kayaks/small row boats, swimming pool, swimming/floating down the river, game room, basketball, volleyball, playground, large field for baseball games, 2 horseshoe pits and covered pavilion. There are numerous kind of sites available: tent, rustic tent, beach, river, field, sun and shade. There are sites available for all sizes of travel trailers, 5th wheels to large motor homes. The bathrooms are updated and clean. The campground owners are great individuals, friendly, easy to get along with, and try their best to take into consideration your requests when calling for reservations. The location is also great. It is only 4 miles outside of Lake George Village. If you are looking for a great campground, please consider Riverview Campground. You will not be disappointed. There is something for everyone. For us, there isn't any place we would rather be.

We have been a Seasonal camper at Riverview campground for 6 years now and we LOVE it! We have a 40 ft 5th wheel Camper site on the river and we have plenty of room. We have made LIFELONG friends with not only the owners but many, many other campers. We drive 2.5 hours to go to camp every single weekend of the summer and it is worth every minute we spend in the car! Our dog swims basically from sun up to sun down. Everyone that floats by in a tube or a Kayak says hello and calls to our dog Woody! It is such a wonderful family atmosphere, we couldn't ask for more. It's not a high Tech campground, which is just what we want. It is quiet, yet a lot of fun with PLENTY to do if you want to! Nearby is McDonald's and Dunkin Donuts and plenty of nice restaurants and even Lake George Village is only 4 miles away. Our Campground owner's are very fair with very reasonable rates and very reasonable rules and regulations. Anyone that may have complained about "site size" maybe should look into maybe buying their own piece of property to camp on! Realistically, you cannot give every camper their own Acre of land for a campsite! We have plenty of room for all 4 slideouts, a deck, a patio table, a firepit and room for plenty of chairs to go around the fire! ...Oh, and a grill and a woodpile! Come and Enjoy Riverview-you won't be sorry!

Just returned from a very enjoyable stay at Riverview Campground. They have just about every kind of activity you could ask for: horseshoes, basketball, volleyball, bacci ball, swimming pool, beach, plus a clubhouse with a ping-pong table and video games for the children on a rainy day. The neighboring campers were friendly and nights were quiet. The grounds and bathrooms are extremely clean. The owners are very accommodating and caring. I?m looking forward to a return visit.

ONE WORD - AWESOME !!!
This our third time camping there. We absoultely love this place. We always have a varitey of campers go with us - it is great for children, adults and teens. One other camper asked our group if this was the Olympics - our activities included from sun - up to sun- down: Volley ball on thier sandy court, horseshoes ( my husband need practice), kyacking on thier river which runs perfectly adjacent to the campground with easy entry, there is a wonderful playground for the kids, arcade, baksetball, putter golf, Clean inground pool nice river beach. The owners and thier family are very friendly and they would do anything to make your stay a pleasant one ! It is definately worth the price. I HOPE EVERYONE CHECKS THIS PLACE OUT !! ENJOY !

The sites are so tiny that they should be illegal. The awning from the camper on the adjacent site was 3 inches from my camper. My awning was covering the other adjacent sites hookups. Imagine having your neighbor's sewer hose running next to your picnic table. If you have a tow vehicle, good luck trying to park it on your site. You may have to ask your neighbor if you can share their site to park your truck. Whoever made this campground's website had their work cut out for them. It looks very nice on their website. In the picture gallery, there is a picture of campsites along the river. You only see one fire ring in the picture. I camped on that site. There is a fire ring every 10 to 15 feet along the water. Myself and 3 other campers, that were first timers to this campground, swore that we would never return and felt misled by the website. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

I have been camping at Riverview Campground for the past 5 or 6 years and it has been a wonderful experience. The owners of the campground are friendly, fair, easy to get along with and always try to take into consideration any personal requests you may have with regard to site location. There are various types of available sites: tent and rustic tent, riverfront, beach, drive through and grassy field. At Riverview Campground, you will find a site that fits your camping needs. The campground is extremely clean as are the restrooms and shower areas. The campground offers a pool and sandy beach as well as volleyball, horseshoes, basketball, a game room and a beautiful playground for children. The beach area is also a great place to launch your kayak, for those of you that have one. Riverview Campground is only 4 miles outside of Lake George Village so it is very convenient to all the Lake George activities. Riverview Campground gives you a quiet and relaxed camping atmosphere. The campers are friendly and nice to visit with. I am very happy and satisfied with my camping experience at Riverview Campground and look forward to making more "Happy Camper" memories. For me, Riverview Campground is the absolute best!!! Signed: Sue

I honesetly do not have enough good things to say about this campground. The two owners of the campground are there everyday and are very friendly. In fact, we inquired about moving our site location once we had arrived and the owners were kind enough to drive us around the campground on their golf cart so that we could pick out a site that would more easily accommodate our handicapped daughter. Also, out of the 20 years of camping that my husband and I have done in the Adirondack region this has got to be one of the most peaceful and relaxing campgrounds that we have stayed at. Things may not be fancy and high tech like other campgrounds but the facilities are clean, the people are friendly, and if you are searching for a nice place to take the family and have a RELAXING time...this campground is certainly the place to go. We stayed here with another family who was in a tent and we were in a Motorhome. Happy Camping!

I agree with Nancy S.
We have a motorhome and have stayed at many a rv parks/campgrounds and Riverview is one of the most well kept and clean campgrounds we have stayed at. If you choose to leave the park there is lots to do[ many resturants ,shopping ,amusement parks].
The owners are very friendly and accommodating. If you don't have a good time while staying at this park it's your own fault.

Contrary to the earlier review, I find this to be a spectacular campgound. I have been camping here for years, the ground are extremely clean and well kept, and the guests are very friendly. This is a family run establishment and a family style campground.

As for the play ground area, it offers beach volley ball, a jungle gym, basketball, horseshoes, swings, and a game room. This is not the type of place where you just let your children run wild. There is also ample space for frisbee, wiffle ball, etc.

This is my favorite place to come to in the lake george area.

We just back from a weekend at your campground, I have to say what a major disappointment. The sites are so small, I kept thinking it must have been a drive in theater the spots were so close together you could hear the conversations on both sides of us. The playground was just about the only decent area on the grounds. I can't believe we paid as much as we did for the weekend, this was one of the few we were checking out for a family weekend but honestly on a chart from one to five we gave it a negative 1. It cost over 70.00 to stay for two nights and for what, a decent playground. Never again and I'll pass the word, as nice as it sounds check it out first.
