I thought this would be a great place to bring my wife for our anniversary. It was in close enough proximity to Lake George that we'd be able to enjoy all the various things that the village had to offer, while not being immersed directly in the playground. The first night of our stay, however, we noticed that our air conditioner was blowing out hot air. When we called the front desk to have them fix it, they said they'd send someone up immediately. Well an hour later we called again, by now boiling (it was the middle of summer). The person we spoke to (it was the same one) insisted they never received our call, but they would definitely send someone up shortly. Another half-hour passed & we went downstairs to the front desk. We complained & were again told that, of course, someone would be up to fix it. When we asked if we could just exchange rooms, they wouldn't allow us to. They claimed it was too late at night to make the switch. It was 9pm. It was another 2 hours before someone came up to check on our room. He claimed he had no idea what the problem was & we'd have to wait until the morning to get it fixed. It was too late to go elsewhere & we were expected to stay the night in a boiling room. This was such poor service. I won't be coming back here again. It ruined my wife's and my anniversary. Next time I'll stay in a small B&B where they're more accommodating & actually care about what their customer's experience is.
