This place is AMAZING! I just went a week ago and I was so impressed. It is right on the lake and the views are beautiful! It is close to both the Lake George Village and the Bolton Landing Village. There are a ton of things to do there, such as there free kayaks, docks to swim and fish off, a large swimming pool and a small but nice beach. The rooms are not amazing, but you don't spend a lot of time in them. I would recommend this place to anyone! I will definitely be back there next year!

Capri Village misled us and will not refund our money. We booked rooms based off of the photos on their website. Instead they gave us rooms in the run down motel they just purchased next door. The room was dirty, smelled, and old. I understand they had a fire but they should of contacted us and told us we can not get the rooms we originally booked. We did NOT stay due to the unhealthy rooms and the owner refused to refund our money. I had my little children with me and would not have stayed in the filthy dirty room that also smelled of fire. The owner should of notified us of the fire or at least refunded our money since we did not stay at his motel. I would not recommend this resort to anyone and the owners are not honorable people.

I would like to correct the mischaracterizations and falsehoods in this review. First, the parties involved reserved these rooms in March 2009, and received a written confirmation in April indicating the type of room, the charges and the deposit paid. If they read their confirmation and realized it was not the room they wanted, they had other options at that time, since other rooms were available. At no time were any of the reservations changed or moved. Unfortunately, I could not offer other rooms at the time of check in, as I had no vacancy. The resort photos are clearly labeled. There are no photos of the rooms that this group booked because we did various amounts of remodeling in all of the newly acquired rooms and did not have time to take new photos. Since December 2008 each of these rooms had the walls and ceilings painted, brand new toilet, vanity/sink, carpeting, front door, and curtains installed. The bathroom was also remodeled. We are AAA rated and are inspected annually. These rooms have rented well, and this is the first time this season anyone has requested a refund from any of our bookings (other than as a direct result of the fire). The room was inspected personally by my wife at the time, and it was found to be well cleaned. The claim that is smelled like smoke is patently absurd. In spite of these spurious claims, and the profanity, insults, and threats of lawsuits, I offered to refund any amount I was able to recoup by re-renting the units. They refused the approximately $700.00. Hundreds of calls were made to notify those who had reservations in the villa only; however we posted a notice on the front page of our web site shortly after the fire.
