I stayed at the acorn lodge part of their hotel and it was great!!!! The rates were unbelievably reasonable compared to the rates of other hotels. The rooms were of decent size they had no phones in them but I didnt care because I didnt plan on using them. It was nestled in a cozy little area just off the strip which was great because you never heard noise. It was so quiet and peacful. I definatley got my moneys worth with the pool myself and my family were in it all the time. The rooms were clean and provided soap, shampoo, lots of towels, sewing kit, shower cap,cups and of course toliet paper. They had cable t.v. air conditioners,rooms with microwaves and coffee pots. My visit was towards the end of the summer when it gets a little chilly up there so me and my family took up three of the six units they offered and that was GREAT. The walls were quiet I had four sisters in the room next to me and I didnt even hear them. They had a nice long deck which was great for sitting in the sun or sitting outside at night in the nice cool air. The gentleman who ran the place was exceptionally nice he even let us use the pool after we already checked out. His wife who runs the other part the motel part was also very nice and they were very accomadating. He had a big dog on the premises and I dont particularly like dogs but he was so friendly and made you feel more comfortable. If you are looking for peace and quiet this is a great place. I would stay there again year after year. It was very enjoyable. And it was only a very short drive into town less than five minutes and you were still close enough to shops and gas stations. Me and my family hasd a great time there.

My stay was unplesant and uncomfortable. Rooms smell like smoke, hair was on my sheets, trash was in one of the drawers. Yes trash! Old wash cloths, used cups and napkins. Bed was very uncomfortable, I woke up with body aches. Bathroom real small but shower curtain was so small that water leaked right out and the bathroom filled with water every time the shower was used. The AC took forever to cool off the room. The food at the restaurant was not very good. For the price it was not worth it. A walk down the hill is so worth it. People were very nice but honestly the stay was dissappointing. For $20-40 more you can probably find a place a whole lot better. Oh and phones are located in the room but they dont work. Isn't that convenient. And soap is the only thing they supply so bring your own shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, iron etc. It might not have been the worse spot but the website is misleading atleast for me it was. From the outside the rooms seem amazing. But its misleading!

Ok for the price, but very outdated. Rooms are very small, no telephone in the room. Walls are thin so you can hear everything outside and next door. They only supply soap so make sure you bring your own shampoo and hairdryer. Pool looked nice but we never got a chance to use it.

Safe, clean, friendly & affordable!!! Reasonable rates and great staff that make you feel like you're at home.
