Lumberjack Pass Miniature Golf Course has joined the list of businesses supporting Lake George Village’s efforts to construct a skateboard plaza. The 18-hole championship course, located on Route 9 at the intersection of 149, will offer golf on Sunday, June 27 from 11:00am to 3:00pm to benefit the park.
Teenagers, parents and Village officials have been raising funds over the past year to erect a skate plaza, perhaps at the site of the former Gaslight Village. The park, estimated to cost approximately $70,000, would be open to the public and be one of the largest in the North Country.
A percentage of the proceeds from the golfers will be contributed to the park. Lumberjack Pass includes natural stone waterfalls, a practice green, cool misters and a large snack bar and picnic area.
Another fundraiser is planned for the fall as well.
